Who are we?
We are SagiCofim, air experts: we are committed to providing everyone with the opportunity to help improve air quality and quality of life whatever the setting, indoor or outdoor, thinking in the present to guarantee the future.
Founded in Cernusco sul Naviglio (Milan) in 1999 from the merger of two innovative and leading companies (Sagi Italiana and Cofim), the company instantly became a leading Italian and international figure in the air filtration, diffusion and distribution sector.
However, our experience stretches back more than fifty years, since the two businesses had been operating, and were well-established and recognised in their relative sectors, since well before that time: Sagi Italiana since 1984 and Cofim since 1964.
The latest milestone in our long history took place in 2022, becoming part of Systemair AB, a leading Swedish ventilation group. Thanks to the valuable synergy with the Systemair group, which has operations in 54 countries, we continue to develop our potential and further expand the company’s position in the Italian and international markets.
We supply first-rate products, solutions and systems, throughout Italy and abroad, to hugely divergent businesses, which, nevertheless, all share the need to guarantee the best possible “environment” for the people working and activities performed there.
We work alongside our customers, shouldering their requests and needs, weighing up the various options together and, ultimately, sharing with them in the delight of achieving the objectives together.
Production and Technology
Our specialist Research, Development and Testing Centre is located at our headquarters in Cernusco sul Naviglio (Milan). Here, we operate in close collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Milan on both the theoretical research phases and on performing and validating tests carried out in the field. Our filter and filtration system manufacturing unit has a technologically advanced testing circuit, annexed to the production line, for testing every high and very high efficiency HEPA and ULPA filter in accordance with EN 1822 standards, to further guarantee the quality of every product that leaves the factory.
The other production facilities, all located in Lombardy and equipped with highly automated production lines and innovative aeraulic testing circuits, work to create our vast range of catalogue products as well as made-to-measure solutions for critical applications.
Our headquarters also operate as the logistics hub, shipping all the products made at the same facility or received from our other manufacturing sites to all four corners of the world.

Sagicofim collaborates with the largest associations in the air-conditioning, air quality, heating and legislative development sectors.
It is actually an Honorary Member of the AICARR (Italian Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Association), Founding Partner of ANACE (Italian Association for Fire Prevention and Control of Smoke Extraction), Partner of the ASSCA (Italian Association for the Research and Control of Environmental Contamination), Partner of the A.I.I.S.A. (Italian Association of Hygienists and Aeraulic Systems), and participates in the legislative activities of the CTI (Italian Thermotechnical Committee) and the UNI (Italian Organisation for Standardisation).

Our convictions, reflected in our professional practices, have allowed us to collaborate on important design studies and with service providers, public bodies and multinational companies. Quality and environment policy
SagiCofim S.p.A. was established to offer innovative solutions in the field of air filtration and distribution, our mission is to guarantee health, productivity and save energy. Our goals are air quality, controlling pathogens and pollutants, environmental comfort, production efficiency and reducing consumption, in order to minimise any type of impact as much as possible, carrying out a cost-benefit analysis.
It is a company that believes corporate well-being must aim to do so taking into consideration as much as possible respect for the environment and resources following a model of sustainable development.
First and foremost we apply these criteria ourselves: the sustainable approach acts as a guideline in the company organisation and has led SagiCofim S.p.A. to adopt Quality and Environmental Management Systems based on the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standards.
The Company Management Systems have been implemented to ensure employee development and increase their knowledge base, effective and efficient use of technical resources and a focus on customer expectations.
We are SagiCofim S.p.A., “air experts”. For more than twenty years we have combined the technical skills of products and solutions with our design expertise offered to our customers, so as to build together the most effective and efficient solution through an accurate and customised project.
Our way of working centres on compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to the most advanced technologies that fully respect people too, coupled with the very best technical performance with optimal conditions of environmental well-being.
SagiCofim S.p.A. has prepared a “Code of Ethics“. Its purpose is to present the company’s ethical and social responsibility, and its spirit and values. Many of the commitments contained in the “Code of Ethics” are binding legislative requirements; despite this the Company seeks to underline its commitment in order to showcase its strong Ethical nature.
Our next goal will be the implementation of an organisational model that incorporates the aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), indicated by the SA8000 standards, and that complies with Leg. Decree231 for the prevention of offenses.
Occupational health and safety policy
SagiCofim S.p.A. is fully aware of Health and Safety issues in the world of work and supports compliance with them in the company not only for the purpose of adhering to applicable legislation, but as a value in line with its way of doing business.
Management deems safeguarding the health and safety of its workers a vital factor. The very sector in which the company operates is involved in the field of health and safety, such as fire prevention and controlling environmental pollution.
With this in mind, SagiCofim S.p.A. undertakes to guarantee high safety standards, with particular regard to PPE and work equipment made available to workers.
With the active involvement of all staff, the Company promotes and implements every initiative capable of eliminating or, where this is not technically possible, reducing any risk that could pose a danger to the health and safety of workers, partners and anyone within the company
SagiCofim S.p.A. implemented its company Quality Management System in 2003 and was certified according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.
Today, SagiCofim S.p.A.’s Quality Management System is compliant with the ISO 9001:2015 standard for all Operating Units relating to the design and production of filters, air filtration systems and aeraulic components for air conditioning systems.
The QMS is verified annually by RINA, a leading Italian certification body, accredited by ACCREDIA and member of the European IQNet circuit.
Operating in the air conditioning and filtration sector means that focusing on and protecting the environment is at the core of SagiCofim S.p.A.’s values.
The company implemented an Environmental Management System in 2006 and was certified according to the UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 standard. This brought to the fore the topic of the environment in all business processes, in particular for the design and production of filters, filtering systems and aeraulic components for air conditioning systems, through the folding phases of the filter media, assembly and sealing of the related components.
Today, the EMS, in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standard, is verified annually by RINA, the leading Italian certification body, accredited by ACCREDIA and member of the European IQNet network.
Environmental certification is voluntary, yet SagiCofim S.p.A. has chosen to build, implement, maintain and improve its EMS, thereby proving its real commitment to monitoring the environmental impacts of its activities and systematically seeking improvement in a coherent, effective and, above all, sustainable way.
Military and naval sector
The Company Management System was planned from the outset to also comply with the requirements of the NATO AQAP 2120 standard “Quality Assurance Requirements for Production”, relating to products intended for the military sector.
For “Fire Dampers” in the naval sector, SagiCofim S.p.A. has obtained from the Notified Body RINA CE marking of compliance with the mandatory Marine Equipment Directives (MED) both for type tests (Module B) and for the conformity of the production process (Module D)
For civilian products subject to legal approval, the Company has carried out destructive testing and prototype qualifications by accredited laboratories.
SagiCofim S.p.A has implemented the provisions of EU Regulation No. 1907/2006 of 18th December 2006 and does not sell products containing SVHC candidate substances.
Any cases that should be identified would be subject to a specific piece of information in the technical documentation delivered with the supply, as provided for by the “Waste Framework Directive” 2008/98/EC at Art. 9, par. 1, letter i .
In fact, the Directive, as amended by Directive 2018/851, provides that from 5th January 2021, companies supplying articles containing SVHC substances on the Candidate list in a concentration above 0.1% p/p must provide information on these articles to ECHA (via SCIP) and to the end user in the “User Manual”.
Please note that the SCIP is the database containing information on Substances of Concern In articles as such or in complex objects (Products) established under the Waste Framework Directive.
The SCIP database ensures that information on articles containing substances on the candidate list is available throughout the life cycle of products and materials, including the waste disposal phase.
The information in the database is then made available to waste managers and consumers.
